EOPS Services

The primary purpose of EOPS is to extend the opportunity for community college education to all who may benefit regardless of economic, social and educational status. This opportunity includes helping students achieve their educational goals and objectives by obtaining career technical skills and certificates, associate degrees, and transferring to four-year institutions. The services below are an intensive supplement to those offered by Cuyamaca College.

As a CARE student you will receive all the EOPS services plus you may be eligible for these extras:

  • Priority Registration
  • EOPS school supplies (as funds are available)
  • Textbook assistance (as funds are available)
  • EOPS Grants (as funds are available)
  • Lending Library (textbooks, laptops and hotspots)
  • Academic, vocational, and career counseling
  • Referrals for free tutoring
  • EOPS/CalWORKs Satellite Food Pantry
  • Graduation Cap and Gown

Check the Eligibility page to see if you may apply to the EOPS program.

Limited Availability

State funding dictates the availability of EOPS services, therefore not all services are available at all times.
